Caitlin Sloop, ASLA, LEED AP

As the Design Director for Green Light Home Builders, Caitlin assists our clients with the myriad of design decisions they may encounter during a project, utilizing drawings and 3D modeling software when necessary to help them visualize their goals. She also serves as lead designer and project manager for all landscape projects.

After completing her undergraduate work at UNC-Chapel Hill, Caitlin received a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from NC State University’s College of Design. Her professional experience includes working for the design arm of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service and for the award-winning landscape architecture firm Design Workshop.

As a LEED Accredited Professional, Caitlin has an extensive knowledge of sustainable building practices, ensuring that our clients are fully informed of the newest green materials and innovative technologies. Caitlin’s specialty is sustainable landscapes: native, drought tolerant plantings, raingardens and rainwater harvesting, vegetable gardens and edible landscapes, and permaculture planning.

Caitlin is a Certified Plant Professional, a NWF Wildlife Habitat Steward, and a volunteer at the North Carolina Arboretum. She enjoys gardening, mountain biking, traveling, and spending time with her dog, Brutus.
